Below are the answers to a few frequently asked questions that I receive. Questions about your particular situation? Contact me anytime by filling out the short form that can be found HERE.
What's the difference between Counseling and Coaching?
Counseling provides clients an opportunity to become more self-actualized through a supportive and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment. Clients best suited for counseling are those experiencing difficulties that are preventing them from living life fully in at least one area of their life. An example might be that they are experiencing anxiety or depression that prevents them from working effectively or enjoying the things they used to enjoy.
Coaching is for anyone that wants to design a better life for themselves. This could mean finding a more suitable job, setting goals and bringing into focus those things that matter most in your life, making relationships more satisfying and rewarding, and bringing more joy to your life. Having a life coach is like having your own personal consultant to help you achieve and attain all that is important to you. It benefits anyone that is open and willing to make positive changes in his/her life.
How are sessions conducted?
My hours are by appointment. Counseling sessions are conducted in person at my office. For home-bound seniors and special circumstances, I may travel to a pre-arranged meeting space such as your office or home. Coaching sessions can be conducted in person or over the telephone or via Skype or FaceTime. Sessions are spaced according to your needs; but are usually held weekly or bi-weekly and typically run 45-50 minutes in length. The initial session is a bit longer and may run up to 1-1/2 hours.
What type of payment do you accept?
I accept personal check, cash, and credit cards as forms of payment. I also accept some forms of insurance, please contact me to find out if your particular insurance is accepted as a form of payment.
